Setup
We always put our focus on our customer service, and that starts with setting up properly for the job. We make sure to move all furniture that needs to be moved before painting. Next all flooring, surfaces, and furniture is protected by drop cloths and protective materials.
Main Prepping
Prepping what is to be painted, in our opinion, is more important than the actual painting itself. The prep work is what will determine how well the paint adheres to the surface. Prepping involves a light sanding and a cleaning of the surfaces. This is also the stage where we will spackle nail holes and do any sort of drywall repair that needs to be done.
Final Prepping
The final phase of prepping is very important as well. Anything needing taped for protection, will be. For example, baseboards and trim are always taped when painting walls. This also keeps a nice crisp straight line. This is also the stage where we remove what we can from being painted like plug and light fixtures and air vents. This saves us time and keeps every part of the wall the same color.
Priming and Caulking
Once everything is prepped, we will begin priming, if needed. We do all of our caulking after the surface has been primed for a better stick. Once everything is caulked, we will retape and move on to the painting process.
Painting
After everything has been set up, prepped, primed and caulked, we are finally ready to start painting. We always paint at least 2 coats of paint to get a nice even color, whether we're spraying or rolling. We only use top brands to ensure you get the best quality possible.
Final Cleanup
If we are on a job for multiple days, we always clean up at the end of each day. But at the end of the job, we make sure to do a final and thorough cleanup. We like to try and make the space even cleaner than when we started the job.
